Taylor Swift secures seventh UK number one single with Toy Story 5 song

Taylor Swift has secured her seventh UK number one single with "I Knew It, I Knew You," a track featured in the upcoming Toy Story 5 film. The song, co-written by Swift for the movie's official soundtrack, is set to be released on June 19.

This latest chart-topper sees Swift join an elite group of artists, including Michael Jackson, George Michael, and U2, all of whom boast seven UK number one singles. "I Knew It, I Knew You" is said to evoke her country roots, having been penned and produced by Swift alongside Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff.

Her previous chart successes include "Look What You Made Me Do" (2017), "Anti-Hero" (2022), "Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version)" (2023), "Fortnight" (2024), "The Fate Of Ophelia" (2025), and "Opalite" (2025).

Meanwhile, Niall Horan is celebrating a hat-trick of number one albums, achieving the biggest opening week of his solo career to date with Dinner Party, according to the Official Charts Company. This success mirrors his previous chart-topping albums, 2020’s Heartbreak Weather and 2023’s The Show, following his 2017 debut Flicker, which peaked at number three.

Horan now becomes the second member of One Direction to achieve three number one solo albums, a feat previously accomplished by former bandmate Harry Styles with Harry Styles, Harry’s House, and Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.

Expressing his gratitude, Horan stated: "I am so incredibly grateful to all my fans who have bought and streamed the album and got it to number one, it means the world to me."

Elsewhere in the albums chart, the enduring popularity of the late Michael Jackson continues, with his greatest hits compilation, The Essential, landing at number two, buoyed by the recent biopic of his life. Drake’s Iceman holds the third spot, while Olivia Dean’s The Art Of Loving is at number four.

Indie rockers Overpass make a strong new entry at number five with their debut LP, Elsewhere, Always. The Birmingham four-piece also topped both the Independent Albums Chart and the Official Record Store Chart.

The band, comprising Max Newbold, Elliot Rawlings, Indie Armstrong, and Jake Bishop, shared their excitement: "We’re so proud of ourselves and immensely grateful for all the support that we’ve been given. This is a great moment, and we can’t wait for what comes next."

Further down the albums chart, Hollywood actor Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra achieved their highest-charting record to date with Night Blooms at number nine. Newlywed Dua Lipa’s latest collection, Dua Lipa – Live From Mexico, climbed seven spots to a new best at 14, and veteran rockers Pink Floyd secured another top 20 with their compilation record 8-Tracks at number 17.

In the singles chart, Olivia Dean and Sam Fender’s "Rein Me In" remains at number two, while last week’s number one, Ariana Grande’s "Hate That I Made You Love Me," drops to third. "The Cure" by Olivia Rodrigo is at number four, with Michael Jackson’s iconic "Billie Jean" rounding off the top five.
