‘Sonic Live in Concert’ goes on tour to celebrate 35th anniversary: All dates, locations, and tickets

Everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog is about to set off on a new adventure – a live concert tour.

Beginning in September 2026, the “Sonic Live in Concert” tour will hit major cities across the United States and United Kingdom in celebration of the franchise’s 35th anniversary. Tickets go on sale this Friday (May 29), so fans have some time to prepare their wallets.

How to buy tickets for the Sonic tour

Fans can buy tickets starting on May 29, 2026 at the official concert website. Given how popular other live tours of video game music have been in the past (and the resurgence of the Sonic fandom given the wildly popular film adaptations), it’s highly likely these tour dates will sell out faster than you can say “chili dog”.

According to a press release announcing the tour, the concert will feature “an ensemble, electronics, singers, and a rock band” while the “the setlist includes fan-favourite tracks and an incredible array of music from the very first game through to today accompanied by synchronised HD footage of iconic levels, moments and boss battles from the franchise.”

The statement also promised “musical Easter eggs” hidden throughout the setlist, which means longtime fans of Sonic have even more reason to buy tickets when they become available.

Head of SEGA Brands, Ivo Gerscovich, explained the reason behind the anniversary tour, as the soundtrack over the years has always shaped Sonic’s adventures. He stated, “Music has always been a core part of Sonic’s identity, shaping how fans experience this world across generations. With this concert, we’re looking forward to celebrating that legacy in a live setting; bringing together the energy, emotion, and creativity of Sonic’s music in a way that both longtime fans and new audiences can enjoy together.”
