Rangers are set to receive a £2m compensation fee when Danny Rohl's switch to RB Salzburg is completed.

The Ibrox boss is set to join the Austrian club in the coming days after signalling his intent to make the move.

Rangers have already lined up a move to appoint Derek McInnes as their new manager.

As first reported by The Rangers Review, McInnes will pen a three-year deal when he leaves Hearts to become Rangers manager.

Rangers are expected to pay around £500k for McInnes to take him from Tynecastle.

But Sky Sports claims that fee is four times lower than the amount Rangers will receive for Rohl leaving to Salzburg.

According to the broadcaster, the deal has been completed with a £2m compensation fee due. to the Ibrox side.

Assistant manager Matthias Kaltenbach and Sascha Lense, the first team performance manager, will also depart Ibrox and follow Rohl to Austria.
