Of kitchens & cosmetics: Snabbit forays into beauty services after home cooks

Instant house help platform Snabbit on Thursday announced its entry into the beauty services category with a salon-at-home offering.

Under this, Snabbit will connect customers with trained beauty professionals within minutes, similar to its other domestic services.

Over the last six weeks, the company piloted the vertical in Bengaluru’s Sarjapur micromarket, and completed over 2,000 jobs. The average order response time was under 15 minutes.

“Beauty services is a high-frequency category with a large addressable market that overlaps perfectly with the core (house help) category we have built,” Aayush Agarwal, founder and chief executive, Snabbit, said in a release.

“Consumers today expect convenience everywhere, but availing of beauty services still involves long waiting periods. We see an opportunity to fundamentally rethink the experience through speed, reliability, and hyperlocal fulfilment,” he added.

This expansion comes two months after the Bengaluru-based company raised $56 million (around Rs 529 crore) in a round co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital, Unicorn Growth Fund, and Bertelsmann India Investments. The startup’s valuation shot up to $350 million post-money, almost double its $180 million valuation in October 2025.

In the on-demand beauty services segment, Snabbit will compete with the likes of Urban Company, Stellaris Venture Partners-backed Dazzl, and NoBrokers’ Zivora.

The service currently has 25 active beauty professionals who are completing 50 jobs on average daily. It’s an all-female team with experience ranging from 3 to 14 years, according to the company.

In April, Agarwal told ET that Snabbit was piloting home cooks in Bengaluru with plans to scale over the next three months.

Snabbit serviced 1.1-1.15 million orders in April, closely followed rival Urban Company, which clocked 1.2-1.3 million orders. Meanwhile, Pronto’s orders stood at 650,000.
