Major streaming service hikes prices again

  • Netflix has announced price increases for all its subscription plans across the United States.
  • The standard plan with ads will increase by $1 to $8.99 per month.
  • Both ad-free plans will see a $2 monthly increase, bringing the standard ad-free plan to $19.99 and the premium plan to $26.99.
  • Netflix stated the price adjustments are necessary to reinvest in quality entertainment and improve the user experience.
  • This decision follows Netflix's recent withdrawal from a proposed takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery, deeming the deal no longer financially attractive.
