When you’re out shopping, you don’t expect too much out of the ordinary. It would certainly be ominous to stumble upon an anonymous note with candy on your windshield. One Los Angeles woman noticed this on her Tesla during her recent trip to Target, causing viewers to debate the suitability of the gesture.

Why Were These Goodies On Her Car Windshield?
“So, I’m at Target and I found this on my car,” TikTok creator Nicki Baber (@makeyouscream_storytimes) says, unveiling a small bag of Reese’s and peanut M&Ms along with a handwritten note.
When she slides it off her windshield, she reveals the pen-inked script and reads it out loud: “‘Sorry I hit ur car. I can’t afford to fix it but I got you this. Have a good day! Sorry,” followed by a smiley face.
Then, the content creator bends down to reveal the damage to more than 481,000 viewers: a small dent on the driver’s side fender of her black Tesla.
Unsure, Baber sought TikTok’s help in the caption, writing, “What do i do????”

In the comments section, many fiercely debated whether the stranger’s rectification was thoughtful or unacceptable.
“I don’t care much about dents. Car still drives fine,” one viewer commented.
“Well, that was very nice. Not many people do that, do they? You are very lucky,” another stated.
“My [expletive] with a peanut allergy would be doubly angry,” a third remarked.
“Hell nah, $6 of candy is not enough to remedy that,” a fourth said.

- Next, contact your insurance company and provide all information related to the accident.
- Finally, check your insurance policies to see if the damage will be covered.
