Kelly Osbourne has shared the “ache” she feels in an emotional Father’s Day tribute to her late father Ozzy Osbourne.
Revealing the depth of her grief nearly a year after the Black Sabbath frontman’s death, the TV personality, 41, on Sunday (21.06.26) posted one of the final messages he sent her before he died.
It comes after Ozzy died aged 76 on 22 July 2025 after years of health problems, including Parkinson’s disease.
Kelly also posted a series of throwback family photographs on her Instagram page alongside a personal message reflecting on life without the rock legend.
Her post comes as tributes to Ozzy continue across the music world following his death, with renewed attention also focused on his extraordinary career as Black Sabbath’s frontman and his later reinvention as a reality television star on MTV’s The Osbournes alongside wife Sharon Osbourne, and children Kelly, her brother Jack and sister Aimee.
Kelly wrote: “Dad, I still find myself looking for you in ordinary moments the advice I need, the joke I want to tell, the victory I wish you could see.
“The ache of missing you is the price of loving you, and I would pay it forever rather than have never been your child at all!
“I will never stop missing you. It is an honor to spend the rest of my life loving you. Until we meet again!”
Kelly’s post included a collection of throwback photographs showing Kelly and Ozzy together throughout the years.
She also shared a screenshot on Instagram Stories of a text message sent by Ozzy before his death.
In the message, he referred to a video of Kelly’s son Sidney, who she has with Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson.
Ozzy wrote: “Ya know what, whenever I’m feeling sick and miserable all I have to do is watch the video you sent of little sid in the bath and it make me so happy that it all just go away.
“I just with (sic – wish) you were both still here.
“I really love the both of you and all I want is for the two of you to be happy.”
In the same message, Ozzy indicated he no longer wanted to commit to live performances because of concerns about his health.
He wrote: “I need my health a lot more.”
Ozzy’s death prompted tributes from across the entertainment industry.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in heavy metal, he rose to fame with Black Sabbath and helped define the genre through songs including Paranoid, Iron Man and War Pigs.
Away from music, Ozzy found a new generation of fans through The Osbournes, the pioneering reality television series that documented family life with Sharon, Kelly and Jack – with his daughter Aimee deciding to stay away from the show.
The programme became one of MTV’s biggest successes and transformed the family into household names beyond the world of rock music.
Ozzy was also father to Jessica Osbourne, Louis Osbourne and Elliot Kingsley from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.
Announcing his death in July 2025, Ozzy’s family said: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.
“He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
