The inaugural "International Creative & IP Art Fair (The POP 2026)" will unite art toys, character IP and contemporary art under one roof, at CentralWorld Pulse on the 7th and 8th floor of CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Road, daily from 10am to 10pm, starting this Thursday until Sunday.
Held under the theme "Safe To Bloom" by the Bangkok Contemporary Art Fair, the event will bring together over 60 artists, studios and galleries from 12 countries, with the aim to promote Bangkok as the natural hub for cross-border creative exchange.
More than an art toy market, the event is designed as an IP-first platform where original characters, narrative-driven worlds and emerging creative universes can connect with collectors, brands, media and licensing partners.
Participating artists and galleries include Space Rabbit Studio, an entirely handmade studio with extremely limited output from the US; Fools Paradise, one of the most influential names in designer toys from Hong Kong; Takuma Fujisaki, a celebrated artist from Japan; Tahilalats, one of Southeast Asia's most-followed creative IPs from Indonesia; Unbox Industries from Hong Kong and Fumeancat from Taiwan.
Among the Thai talents set to share the stage with the international icons are Tum Ulit, Nual the Dog, Panpan Yeeyee, Knn Five, Cheesy Duck and a curated selection of emerging Thai artists.
A highlight of the fair is "Blooming In Silence – A Cat Among Singing Plants", a solo exhibition by Chen Yu-Lin, a Taiwanese illustrator known for her delicate visual storytelling rooted in nature, culture and the environment.
The space will feature illustrations, ceramics, dried flowers and furniture arranged as an intimate personal world -- a quiet, contemplative counterpoint to the vibrant energy of character IP and art toy culture across the rest of the fair.
Beyond the showcase, the event offers a fully immersive cultural experience through shirt screen-printing workshops with Epson, a blacklight room held in partnership with Posca, artist talks, fan sign sessions, a live wood carving show by Henky, lucky draws and a mini concert by Thai band Slur.
