EMPULSE Early Access is set to arrive on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on June 24, 2026. At the time of writing, a demo is available to download on Steam.
The game is a 6v6 movement shooter built around wallruns, grapples, Holojumps, P.A.I.N.T. bombs that can alter surfaces, and mech combat.
How to play EMPULSE Early Access on PC
On PC, the way to play EMPULSE Early Access is through Steam. All you need to do is:
- Open Steam and search for EMPULSE
- Add it to your wishlist or pre-install it once Early Access goes live
If you want to try it early, download the Steam Next Fest demo that went live on June 15. PC is also the platform where players are most likely to get the earliest hands-on access, since the demo window opens before the full Early Access launch.

EMPULSE will also launch in Early Access on PlayStation 5 on June 24, 2026.
- Open the PlayStation Store on your PS5

What to expect from EMPULSE Early Access
EMPULSE is a fast-paced 6v6 shooter where movement is the whole point, not just a side mechanic.
You will be wallrunning, grappling, launching with Holojumps, and using P.A.I.N.T. bombs to change surfaces and create better routes in a fight.
The other big hook is mech combat, with player-controllable mechs spawning on the map and bringing heavy weapons plus special abilities into the match. If you’re coming from Apex Legends or Titanfall, EMPULSE will hit similar movement buttons but with a different mechanical focus and a stronger emphasis on arena-style 6v6 combat.
EMPULSE feels closest to Titanfall in how it rewards chaining movement abilities, but it adds the extra layer of altering the environment with P.A.I.N.T.
