Fifth person charged over Golders Green ambulance arson attack

A fifth person has been charged in connection with the arson attack on Jewish community ambulances in north London in March.

Subhan Ahmed, 18, is the latest to be charged amid a Counter Terrorism Policing London investigation into the attack in Golders Green.

Ahmed, a British national from Walthamstow, was charged on Monday with assisting an offender, contrary to section 4 of the Criminal Law Act, 1967.

He has been bailed and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 16.

Hamza Iqbal, 20, and Rehan Khan, 19, Judex Atshatshi, 18, and a 17-year-old boy were all previously charged with committing arson destroying or damaging property being reckless as to whether life would be endangered.

They appeared at the Old Bailey on April 24 and were remanded in custody with a trial date set for January 2027 and a hearing for August 28.

In the attack on March 23, four ambulances run by Jewish volunteer service Hatzola were set on fire.

It is one of several incidents in Golders Green in recent months, including a terror attack in April.
