Dua Lipa and Callum Turner‘s wedding era is here, and they’re doing it right! A courthouse ceremony in London, then a three‑day destination blowout in Sicily with Elton John at the piano and half the music industry on the guest list? The parasocial FOMO is ashamedly VERY real!
As someone who grew up going to five‑day Indian weddings, I’m genuinely thrilled the rest of the world is finally embracing this tradition of extended celebration. If your wedding weekend isn’t at least slightly giving music festival, what are we even doing?
Here’s everything we actually know so far about Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s two weddings.
Wait, I thought they were already married? Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s London wedding
You’re not imagining things — they did get married before Sicily. Dua and Callum first made it official on May 31 2026 with a civil ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London, surrounded by a small group of family and friends. Multiple outlets confirmed the town hall wedding, and a few days later Dua shared personal photos from the day on Instagram with the simple caption: “31.05.2026 🤍”.
The pictures showed the pair sitting together as they kissed, and walking hand‑in‑hand down the steps of the historic London registry office, quietly confirming that they were already husband and wife before the destination celebrations kicked off. It was low‑key by celebrity standards, but still very much a capital‑W Wedding.
Dua wore a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture ensemble by Daniel Roseberry: an ivory blazer, asymmetric skirt, sculpted blush bustier, white gloves and a huge wide‑brimmed white hat by milliner Stephen Jones. Callum matched the occasion in a custom Ferragamo suit, wearing a double‑breasted navy jacket with coordinating shirt, trousers and tie.
Where and when is Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s Sicily wedding?
With the legal part sorted, they moved on to the main event: a three‑day wedding weekend in Sicily. According to a source quoted by Page Six, “The actual wedding weekend is June 5-7 at Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria, Sicily, near Palermo, Italy,” with the insider adding, “It’s going to be a huge, ultra-luxurious affair”. And based on what’s come out since, that wasn’t an exaggeration.
Reports say the couple chose Palermo after holidaying there together last European summer. Guests were put up at the luxurious Villa Igiea, a Rocco Forte hotel on the Palermo waterfront, which Dua and Callum reportedly booked out so everyone could stay together and celebrate in private. The wedding itself reportedly took place at Villa Valguarnera, an 18th‑century baroque estate in Bagheria that has previously been associated with royalty and mafia bosses in its history.
The wedding schedule reportedly included welcome celebrations in Palermo on June 5, the wedding at Villa Valguarnera on June 6, and a post‑wedding brunch back in Palermo on the Sunday for anyone who hadn’t completely fried their social battery by then.
Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s wedding guest list
The guest list read like the line‑up for a European music festival. Vanity Fair and other outlets reported that attendees included Elton John, Donatella Versace, Charli xcx and her husband George Daniel, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Mark Ronson and his wife Grace Gummer, Troye Sivan, Joe Alwyn and singer Olivia Dean, among others.
Reports suggest around 200 guests made the trip to Sicily, which is a lot of people to witness your first dance. There was also a strong music‑industry presence behind the decks: after dinner, DJs Carl Cox, Martin Garrix, David Guetta and Peggy Gou all reportedly jumped on to get everyone on the dancefloor.
On the live‑music side, Elton John performed “Your Song” on piano after Dua and Callum exchanged vows, which is the sort of thing most couples could only dream about. John is a long‑term friend and collaborator of Dua’s — the pair worked together on the 2021 hit “Cold Heart”, so his appearance was both a flex and a genuinely sweet nod to their history.
What will Dua Lipa wear for her Sicily wedding?
We’ve already seen one of Dua’s bridal looks from the Sicily weekend, and it set the tone immediately. For the welcome party at Palazzo Valguarnera Gangi on June 5, she wore a stunning white sleeveless Bottega Veneta gown with an open back and feathered skirt.
The main wedding‑day dresses are still mostly under wraps, but The Sun, have reported that Dua wore two separate gowns across the ceremony and reception, both believed to be Versace. It makes a lot of sense since she has a long‑standing relationship with Donatella Versace, and has worn Atelier Versace countless times on red carpets.
Earlier this year, fans were already convinced Donatella would be involved in her bridal wardrobe after Dua posted photos in a sparkling minidress that reimagined a look previously worn by Kate Moss in 1995.
Donatella commented on the photo and reshared the image with the caption: “@dualipa, what an angel you are. This Atelier Versace look is a reimagining of what @katemossagency wore on the Versace runway in 1995. You are sparkling. Love youuuuu xx”.
Dua and her stylist Lorenzo Posocco both engaged with the post, which only added fuel to the theory that Versace would be a major player in her wedding‑day looks.
Local backlash to Dua Lipa’s Palermo wedding events
For all the glamour, the weekend wasn’t without controversy. Some Palermo locals were reportedly unhappy about the disruption caused by the celebrations, particularly the welcome event held in a public square on the Friday. Road closures and tight security measures for the party meant access was restricted, which frustrated residents who just wanted to live their lives without needing a wedding invite.
Protest posters and graffiti appeared around the city with messages suggesting Palermo was “not for rent” and “not for the rich”, calling out the way public spaces were being used for a celebrity wedding.

According to reporting from The Sun, Dua and Callum are said to have paid around $9,400 to local residents as compensation for parking issues during the events, an apparent attempt to make good on the inconvenience, though feelings on the ground were still mixed.
While the couple themselves have not shared any piccies from their Sicily wedding yet, we’ll be sure to let you know when they do!
