In the eagerly-awaited new movie O’Connor plays a cybersecurity expert who comes to discover the truth about alien life.

He decides to become a whistleblower and share the truth with the world, putting him in conflict with Colin firth’s character, the head of a corporation, who wants the information to stay secret.

O’Connor’s character and his and his girlfriend played by Hewson go on the run.

Along the way, a Kansas City meteorologist played by Emily Blunt starts experiencing strange phenomenon and believes she and Daniel are linked.

The logline for Disclosure Day reads: ‘If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you?’

When questioned recently on the idea himself by podcaster Sean Fennessey, Spielberg said: “I don’t know any more than any of you do, but I have a very strong suspicion that we are not alone here on Earth right now – and I made a movie about that.”

Speaking at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film & TV Festival in March, the director also spoke about AI, sharing that while he did not want to “go into a whole rant” about it as he was “for AI in many different disciplines”, he was “not for AI if it replaces a creative individual”.

Other famous names who were pictured at the premiere included Benedict Cumberbatch and Jeff Goldblum.
