- More than 100 people were arrested in central London on suspicion of supporting Palestine Action , a proscribed group, outside the Royal Courts of Justice .
- The arrests followed a Court of Appeal ruling on Monday that upheld the ban of Palestine Action as a terror group, deeming it lawful.
- This decision overturned a previous High Court judgment from February which had ruled the proscription unlawful.
- The proscription makes membership of or support for Palestine Action a criminal offence, carrying a potential sentence of up to 14 years in prison.
- Since Palestine Action was proscribed, the Met Police have arrested more than 3,000 individuals for suspected support of the group.
