There are five confirmed monster mutations in Catch a Monster: Shiny, Huge, Bloodlit, Corruption, and Fairy. Every time you obtain a pet, there’s a small chance that it could have any of the above mutations. The base chances of getting a mutated monster increase during the Bloodmoon Weather Event. Mutations will change the appearance of the monster and boost certain stats like Attack, HP, Crit Rate, and more.

The Bloodmoon Weather Event has a 0.02% base chance to spawn every time the weather changes. If you want to get mutated monsters, try during this weather event because it unlocks the Bloodlit mutation and massively boosts the chances of all other mutations as well.
