Burglars break into Murrumbidgee Golf Course, flee with large sum of cash

Two unidentified people allegedly broke into the Murrumbidgee Golf Course in Kambah using a sledgehammer in the early hours of Tuesday and stole a large amount of cash.

ACT Policing is investigating the burglary and seeking witnesses.

About 2.45am on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, police received reports of two people entering a building at the Murrumbidgee Golf Course on Kambah Pool Road.

The duo broke through multiple locked doors using the sledgehammer and stole a large sum of cash before fleeing the scene, police confirmed.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity near the Murrumbidgee Golf Course or along Kambah Pool Road about 2.45am on Tuesday is asked to contact Crime Stoppers via the Crime Stoppers ACT website by quoting reference number 8409836. Information can be provided anonymously.
