ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle Includes ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses

ASUS ROG recently unveiled the Xbox Ally X20 device, and alongside it, the new special bundle that brings together the handheld gaming console and the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses.

This combo offers gamers a massive 171-inch display, which they can enjoy while gaming, making it one of the most powerful portable gaming solutions coming soon.

ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle Is a Massive Upgrade

The bundle combines a redesigned ROG Xbox Ally with a larger OLED display alongside the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses, and it arrives dressed in a transparent black and gold colorway built specifically for the anniversary occasion.

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 runs on an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage, putting it on the same performance tier as the ROG Xbox Ally X. The device also benefits from the recently released Auto SR preview, which sharpens visuals and improves frame rates across compatible titles.

The most visible hardware change is the display as the X20 moves to a 7.4-inch OLED panel, made possible by a reduced top bezel. ASUS calls it a Nebula HDR Display, and it comes with Full HD resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium Pro support, and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification is included, and Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC coating cuts glare by 65%.

Controller upgrades are also part of the package as the thumbsticks now use TMR sensor technology, which ASUS says delivers more precision than Hall Effect sensors while reducing the risk of drift. The D-pad can switch between 4-axis and 8-axis movement by rotating 90 degrees, making it more versatile for fighting titles.

The face buttons sit more flush with the chassis than on previous models, and the rear grips now feature a rubberized coating for better hold during longer sessions.

Get 171 Inches of Display With ROG XREAL R1

The ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses are the centerpiece of the bundle, as per Digital Trends. Using dual Micro-OLED screens, the glasses project a 171-inch virtual display that users can use to play games or watch content without needing a physical screen at all. They connect to the ROG Xbox Ally X20 through a single USB-C cable, and the pairing is natively integrated into the ROG Command Center software.

The glasses support 3DoF head tracking, which lets the virtual screen follow head movements. Users can also activate Anchor Mode to lock the display in one place while playing.

The glasses share the same black and gold colorway as the X20, making the bundle a visually cohesive set.

The Future of Massive Portable Gaming

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 bundle positions itself at the top of the handheld gaming market, offering a combination of raw performance and immersive display technology that no single handheld device has offered before.

The ability to go from a 7.4-inch OLED panel to a 171-inch virtual screen within the same bundle removes one of the biggest compromises handheld gaming has always faced, which is screen size while on the move.

ASUS has not announced global pricing or availability yet, and interested buyers are directed to contact their local ROG representative for regional release details.
