'You don't need crores to start': Bengaluru techie who rejected a Rs 30,000 job now earns Rs 2 lakh a month from business

A Bengaluru-based engineering graduate is drawing attention online after revealing how he turned down a job offer paying around Rs 30,000 a month and built a business that now generates nearly Rs 2 lakh in monthly income. The man, who now operates a small fleet of commercial vehicles, said he completed his engineering degree but was not convinced that entry-level salaries would help him achieve his financial goals. Instead of accepting a conventional corporate role, he chose to venture into self-employment. According to him, the decision was not easy, but he believed that building something of his own would offer greater long-term rewards than working for a fixed salary.

Engineering Degree, But Started With One Car to take a Different Career Choice

His entrepreneurial journey began with a single car. Over time, he expanded the operation and now owns four vehicles. While he drives one himself, the remaining cars are operated by hired drivers. Explaining his business model, he said earnings are shared with the drivers after deducting fuel expenses. The arrangement allows both parties to benefit while keeping the business sustainable. He claimed that even after accounting for vehicle loan repayments and other operating costs, the venture generates around Rs 2 lakh every month.
