Winner of MasterChef: The Professionals series 18 crowned after impressive finale

Gareth Baty has been crowned the winner of MasterChef: The Professionals series 18, expressing his delight at the triumph.
The 40-year-old chef, originally from Carlisle, dedicated his winning three-course menu to his family and late father.
Baty competed against runners-up Luke Emmess and Mark O’Brien in the finale of the BBC One cooking show.
His menu included a prawn cocktail-inspired starter, a chicken breast roulade main dedicated to his father, and a Brandy Alexander-twist dessert.
Judge Matt Tebbutt made his final appearance on MasterChef: The Professionals, having previously announced his departure after one series.
