Video show plane forced to approach Dublin Airport sideways as Storm Dave sweeps through

An Aer Lingus passenger jet was forced to approach Dublin airport sideways for landing during severe gales and blustery showers brought by Storm Dave.

Footage posted by Dublin airport on Saturday (4 April) shows the jet descending as strong gusts of wind make the wings uneven.

Despite this, the pilot manages to straighten the aircraft and successfully lands.

The airport cancelled 17 flights, causing further travel disruption into the bank holiday weekend as crews are now displaced.
