Video captures terrifying moment journalist ducks as gunfire erupts near White House - Watch

A video recorded by ABC News correspondent Selina Wang captured the terrifying moment gunfire erupted near the White House on Saturday evening, forcing journalists covering President Donald Trump to duck for cover and run for safety.

Wang had been filming a routine social media video from the White House North Lawn while discussing Trump’s remarks on a possible Iran deal when the shooting began. In the footage, which quickly spread across social media, the journalist suddenly stops mid-sentence as loud bangs ring out in the background. Her eyes widen before she drops to the ground inside the media tent.

“I was in the middle of taping on my iPhone for a social video from the White House North Lawn when we heard the shots,” Wang wrote on X. “It sounded like dozens of gunshots. We were told to sprint to the press briefing room where we are holding now.”
