Beckham: In Ten Pictures

9pm, BBC Two
“He knows he’s going to be photographed; he knows he’s going to cause a sensation.” A clever concept to profile people in new ways, this time focusing on Becks. It starts in 1986 with a photographer who, after hearing that his teenage nephew’s mate has just won a national football skills competition, goes to capture his triumph. From there, the photo album includes a sarong, a Spice Girl and a gay magazine cover. Hollie Richardson

Reported Missing

9pm, BBC One
It’s the stuff of a thriller movie in the documentary series about Police Scotland’s efforts to find missing persons. The alarm is raised about a Chinese student who has vanished from Edinburgh, yet when the cops track him down in Durham, he says he’s fine. That’s just the beginning of a story driven by lies, deceit and CCTV clips. Also, a hiker is lost in the mountains. Jack Seale

Taskmaster

9pm, Channel 4
We’re into the closing stretch of one of the more enjoyable recent editions, and four contestants can realistically still hope to win Greg Davies’s golden noggin. Among the many delights has been the descent into goofiness of eminent screenwriter Armando Iannucci, although as he shows tonight, he can turn cranky when riled. Phil Harrison

The Hardacres

9pm, Channel 5

The moreish period drama about the gutsy Hardacre family continues with a ball for their staff. Liza and Edward get engaged, which leaves Adella feeling alone. Meanwhile, Harry is devastated to learn that his tutor is leaving soon. Will any of this spoil the fun and frolics of the big night? HR

Prisoner

9pm, Sky Atlantic
Can we expect the final episode of this excellent dark crime drama to tie up all the loose ends? After last week’s shock death and arrest, it’s not looking likely that Tibor and Amber will make it to court on time and manage to bring down the crime syndicate Pegasus. Priya Elan

Make That Movie

10pm, Channel 4
The brilliant Amy Gledhill guest-stars in Sam Campbell’s comedy about a director who brings ordinary people’s film ideas to life. She plays a teacher whose pupils pitch “Bog Prom” in dedication to her (she’s an expert on the local mummified bog man and didn’t go to her prom). Crew member Sebastian (Aaron Chen) continues to be the standout. HR

Live sport

Men’s Test Cricket, England v New Zealand, 10am, Sky Sports Main Event. The first Test from Lord’s.
