Trump says definition of ceasefire is different in Middle East

  • President Donald Trump suggested the definition of a ceasefire differs in the Middle East , commenting on recent U.S.- Iran exchanges of fire.
  • Trump implied Iran's missile attack on Kuwait was a reciprocal action following previous U.S. "strong action."
  • He stated the military could "wipe everybody out" in Iran but expressed a preference for a diplomatic agreement to halt Tehran's nuclear ambitions.
  • Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi defended their attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain as "self-defense strikes," alleging that U.S. forces use bases there to violate the ceasefire.
  • The Iranian attack on Kuwait's main airport resulted in one death and 63 injuries, while U.S. Central Command reported a "self-defense" strike on a fortified Iranian island.
