Theme park patrons in US walk down rollercoaster drop after power cut

  • Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington experienced a power outage on Saturday after an external construction crew struck an underground power line.
  • The power cut left some patrons stranded on rides, including the Titan rollercoaster, requiring them to walk down steep tracks to disembark.
  • Videos captured riders descending the 245-foot-tall Titan in a single file, gripping railings as they made their way off the attraction.
  • A Six Flags spokesperson confirmed that all parkgoers were safely escorted off rides, provided with complimentary return tickets, and operations fully resumed within approximately two hours.
  • The park was back to normal operations by Sunday and is preparing to debut a new “giga dive coaster,” the Tormenta Rampaging Run, later this year as part of its 65th-anniversary celebrations.
