- A 19-year-old Norwegian, Johannes Kongsnes Natland, is accused of being recruited by a Swedish organised crime group, allegedly used by the Iranian regime, to carry out a murder in England.
- Natland travelled to the UK on 17 March last year, reportedly to 'undertake a hit' for €25,000, having been contacted for the job two days prior.
- He was arrested on 19 March in a Huddersfield hotel room, where police found a semi-automatic pistol, a revolver, and 12 rounds of live ammunition in his possession.
- Prosecutors allege Natland was acting for the 'Foxtrot Network' and had sent messages to his girlfriend stating 'I'm going on a crazy mission' and 'In the bag is bang'.
- Natland denies a charge of conspiracy to murder, with the trial currently ongoing at the Old Bailey.
