This is the horrific moment a 14-year-old school girl was run down by a driver skidding to avoid the school bus she was boarding.
The eight grader named Abigail can be seen crossing the street in Estero, Florida, on March 31 to get her ride to school in newly-released footage from the Lee County School District.
A silver sedan, which was reportedly following too close behind the bus and swerved to avoid it, hits Abigail and knocks her down. The driver, identified as Brianna Brown, can be seen getting out of the car to check on the girl as her family rush from their home nearby.
Abigail appears to have suffered minor injuries in the crash, which was described as a “miracle” by her grandmother.
Brown received a citation and a fine of $161.
