Suspect slips handcuffs and steals police car with officer in the back before leaping from moving vehicle

A suspect in Dallas was able to free himself from handcuffs and steal a police cruiser, taking an officer along on the joy ride, before leaping from the moving vehicle.

Stacey Huffman, 37, was arrested during a traffic stop on May 30. While he was being processed, he was able to slip his left hand out of the handcuffs and leap into the front seat of the police car. Officer Kenneth Harper was able to jump into the rear of the vehicle as Huffman drove up to speeds of 50mph.

Harper attempted to tase Huffman and hit him with his service weapon before the suspect bailed out of the moving vehicles after driving about 1000 feet down the I-35. He was knocked unconscious and quickly arrested. Huffman now faces a slew of charges.
