- The 27-year-old Spain international has agreed a long-term contract with the LaLiga club, committing him to the Bernabeu until 2032.
- Cucurella, who joined Chelsea from Brighton for £62 million in 2022, was considered one of the more successful signings under the BlueCo ownership.
- He had publicly criticised Chelsea's club management and recruitment plans in March, and was openly critical of the decision to part with manager Enzo Maresca.
- Real Madrid, who recently appointed Jose Mourinho as manager, are also reportedly interested in Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez, who has expressed a desire to leave.
