Ruroc’s 12 New Colorways Are Not an April Fool's Joke, Even ‘Flames'

I think Ruroc is one of the only helmet manufacturers that could leave me puzzled as to whether its new designs are, in fact, an April Fool's joke.

The designs aren't always lairy, but when Ruroc sets a mission to steal your attention, it will succeed. Still, I've been assured that its twelve new designs across its AT4.0 range are no joke after all, and this latest drop encompasses fresh aesthetics across the AT4.0 Street, Carbon, and Track collections.

If you're unfamiliar with the range, here's the skinny. The Street is a fiberglass full-face helmet built to be Ruroc’s most affordable option, featuring a Double D-ring strap and full Bluetooth compatibility, making it the brand's go-to option for daily riding. The Carbon utilizes advanced composites, a Fidlock buckle, and RHEON impact technology for those who want more performance but still spend a lot of time on the street. The range-topping AT4.0 Track is purpose-built for the circuit, featuring a dedicated Aero Track Pack with an enlarged rear spoiler and smoothed side vents for maximum high-speed stability.

According to Ruroc's head of marketing, Laurence Jones, “Our mission is to create helmets that are as striking as they are safe. With this new range, we want riders to have a gutsy, individualistic look without ever having to compromise on the safety standards Ruroc is built upon.”

The Street and Carbon collections feature a diverse range of hero styles, from the stencil-art ‘Flames’, channeling a bold Guy Fieri aesthetic, to intricate designs inspired by Norse and maritime mythology. Whereas the top-of-the-range Track AT4.0 includes the competition-inspired Blitz and the Japanese-heritage Cobra, finished with gold foil and a signature coiled snake.

Tell us what you think!

You can check all the designs out on Ruroc's site. Out of the lot, I'd take the Empora from the Street collection—I think the metallic gloss would look cool. But if you ever catch me in Flames, please check on me and ask for two blinks.

In any case, check them out and tell us both what you'd wear, and also what you absolutely wouldn't.
