Rockstar suffers mild concussion after fan throws phone at him

  • Oli Sykes, frontman of Bring Me the Horizon, suffered a mild concussion after being struck in the head by a phone thrown from the crowd during a concert in St. Louis, Missouri, on Monday.
  • Footage shared online shows the 39-year-old British rocker being hit while kneeling at the front of the stage.
  • Sykes addressed the incident from the stage after finishing the song, questioning who threw the phone.
  • He later updated fans on Instagram, confirming he was “all good” despite the concussion and swelling, and apologised for what might have seemed like a “half-hearted performance” due to the injury.
  • Sykes expects to perform at Wednesday's gig in Saint Paul, Minnesota, with the incident highlighting a dangerous trend of objects being thrown at artists during live shows.
