Pep Guardiola has one regret he has hidden away for years - and it involves a Celtic hero.

The Manchester City boss admits he has regrets over some decisions he has made in the past, but there is one in particular he has kept schtum about.

As he gets set to bow out of the EPL giants after ten years, the Spaniard admits he wished he'd given Joe Hart a chance to shine at the Etihad.

He told Sky Sports: “I want to confess something. I have regrets when you make a lot of decisions. A lot, a lot of decisions.

“You make mistakes. But there is one regret that I have hid deep inside for many years.

“That I didn’t give Joe Hart the chance to be with me and to prove himself how good a keeper he was.

“And I should have done.

“All respect for Claudio [Bravo], for Ederson when he came in, he was important.

“But in that moment ‘okay Joe, let’s try and do it together, if it doesn’t work okay we change it because it happened’.

“I have to make decisions and sometimes I am not fair enough.
