Numerous shows thrown into doubt after Scott Mills’ sudden sacking

  • Radio 2 presenter Scott Mills was abruptly dismissed by the BBC following allegations about his personal conduct.
  • His sudden departure has left a significant gap in the Radio 2 Breakfast Show, with Gary Davies currently filling in and several presenters being considered as permanent replacements.
  • Mills' involvement in the BBC's 2026 Eurovision coverage is also affected, with Sara Cox reportedly set to take his place.
  • Other projects in jeopardy include The Detour, a Race Across the World spin-off vodcast for which the BBC is seeking a new co-host, and a filmed episode of Channel 4's Celebrity Bake Off whose broadcast is now uncertain.
  • A pre-filmed cameo in an EastEnders flash-forward episode set for New Year's Day 2026 is likely to be cut, and the future of his Pop Top 10 podcast with Rylan Clark is also under review.
