Notorious serial killer linked to another murder via DNA test

  • New DNA testing has definitively linked the 1974 unsolved murder of Utah teenager Laura Ann Aime to the infamous serial killer Ted Bundy.
  • Laura Ann Aime, 17, vanished on Halloween night and her naked, bound, and beaten body was discovered a month later in American Fork Canyon.
  • Investigators had long suspected Bundy, who verbally acknowledged his culpability before his 1989 execution, but the case remained open until DNA confirmation.
  • At the time of Aime's killing, Bundy was studying law at the University of Utah, and he was first arrested in August 1975.
