Ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)'s protest in Delhi, the government was asked about the return of the outfit's founder, Abhijeet Dipke, to India. During a press conference on Friday, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal was queried on whether US authorities had shared any information regarding Dipke's alleged deportation or misuse of his visa.
The question came amid speculation surrounding Dipke's arrival in India ahead of the CJP rally scheduled for Saturday at Jantar Mantar, near Parliament Street Police Station.
“Indian citizen Abhijeet Dipke is returning from America. Has the US government given any information about his deportation or any misuse of his visa?” Jaiswal was asked.
Responding to the query, the MEA spokesperson said the government had not received any such information.
