Chaz Mostert has broken through for the first win of his Supercars championship defence, winning the opening Tasmania Super 440 race.
Mostert blitzed the pack in his Walkinshaw TWG Racing car, winning the 120km sprint at Symmons Plain Raceway by a massive 5.322-seconds on Saturday.
It is the 34-year-old's first win since Sandown in November last year, having endured growing pains in the new Toyota Supra.
His best result before Saturday's race was a third-place finish in the final Taupo race last month, with teammate Ryan Wood claiming the first win for Supra in New Zealand.
Veteran racer David Reynolds was second for Team 18, with Brodie Kostecki prevailing in a tense battle with series leader Broc Feeney for third.
