German-Irish actor Michael Fassbender smiled at a photocall alongside his wife, Tomb Raider star Alicia Vikander, in Cannes.
The pair posed for photographs in matching cream tones – Fassbender in a blazer with navy trousers while Vikander wore a silk maxi dress, on Monday at the 79th Cannes Film Festival for their upcoming film Hope.
Directed by Na Hong-jin, the action-horror follows an alien invasion in a rural South Korean town.

The pair later smiled for photographs alongside Na and their co-star, Bones And All actress Taylor Russell, who wore an all black wraparound maxi dress with matching black sunglasses.
The film also stars Squid Games’ Jung Ho-yeon who wore a cream knit co-ord with black leather boots to the photocall.
Monday also saw Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones, The Apprentice actor Sebastian Stan and Sentimental Value’s Renate Reinsve arrive on the red carpet for the premiere of Fjord.

The film follows a Romanian-Norwegian couple, played by Stan and Reinsve, as they deal with a backlash after moving to the wife’s remote Norwegian town.
The pair smiled for photographs with Stan in a classic black tuxedo while Reinsve wore a white high neck gown with a deep plunge cutout.
Meanwhile Edgar-Jones, who also walked the red carpet, wore a semi-sheer blush draped gown.

Other stars in attendance on Monday evening included Basic Instinct actress Sharon Stone, who smiled in a black, white and purple embroidered floral gown with a matching coat and sleeked back short bob.
The sparkly number was a notable contrast to singer, model and former first lady of France Carla Bruni, who blew a kiss to the photographers in a simple long sleeve plunge dress.
