This walking pad supports 400lbs and costs less than a weekend takeaway order

Merach UltraWalk W60 Plus treadmill in use at home.

Merach has officially launched the UltraWalk W60 Plus, a new premium walking pad designed to offer a more stable and durable alternative to the countless budget models currently flooding the market.

The company is positioning the W60 Plus as a product that bridges the gap between compact under-desk treadmills and full-sized running machines.

While most walking pads prioritise portability above all else, Merach says its latest model has been engineered to deliver a more "treadmill-like" experience without taking over an entire room.

The UltraWalk W60 Plus uses a 3.5 Peak HP brushless motor with Hall sensor control, a combination Merach claims helps reduce vibration, hesitation, and the jerky movement often associated with cheaper walking pads.

The company also says the setup offers quieter operation and improved long-term durability compared to traditional brushed motors.

Built more like a treadmill

The UltraWalk W60 Plus supports users weighing up to 400 lbs, offers speeds ranging from 0.6 to 4 mph and features a 12% automatic incline system designed to increase workout intensity and calorie burn.

A spacious 16 x 41-inch deck provides more room to move, while enlarged rollers are designed to promote a smoother, more natural walking experience.

Merach says the Hall sensor continuously monitors motor position, allowing the system to deliver smoother power at lower speeds.

More than just a walking pad

The W60 Plus also adds a few lifestyle-focused extras designed to make everyday exercise a little more engaging.

Built-in Bluetooth speakers allow users to listen to music, podcasts or audiobooks without reaching for a separate speaker, while RGB lighting can react to either workout rhythm or audio playback.

The walking pad is also compatible with the MERACH app, Apple Health and Google Fit, enabling users to track metrics including speed, distance, calories burned, incline and step count.

One of the biggest selling points might be its simplicity. Unlike many home fitness machines, the UltraWalk W60 Plus arrives fully assembled.

Users simply unpack the unit, plug it in and start walking. Front transport wheels and a vertical storage design should also make it easier to move and store between workouts.

"We are eliminating the compromise between professional quality and affordability," said Robert Luo, CEO of Merach.

"For too long, the walking pad market has been saturated with low-quality equipment that breaks down quickly or lacks the stability required for a safe workout."

The UltraWalk W60 Plus is now available at Merach and on Amazon.

During the launch period, customers can use the code MERACHW60 to reduce the price to $280 (~£208 / €240 / AU$392).
