A 43-year-old man has been charged with multiple drug and firearm offences after police allegedly seized cannabis plants, methamphetamine and imitation firearms during a raid on his home in Canberra's south.
Police say the man was arrested after allegedly attempting to enter a neighbour's home while police searched his property in Richardson on Saturday afternoon.
More than 10 cannabis plants, two air guns, and a gel blaster were recovered by detectives from the Tuggeranong Major Crime Squad during the search.
Heat lamps, hydroponic equipment, anabolic steroids and a substance believed to be methamphetamine were also recovered in the man's home.
He was subsequently charged with multiple drug and firearm offences, including attempted burglary and property damage.
He is due to face the ACT Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Authorities said they received information last week about alleged firearms and drug offences at a Richardson residence.
Police have urged anyone who has information about the sale or distribution of drugs in the ACT to contact Crime Stoppers.
According to a recent analysis by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, the ACT recorded a 30 per cent increase in meth consumption last year.
