After a strong week of practice at the Senior Bowl, Liberty quarterback Malik Willis kept a good thing going in Saturdayâs all-star game, showing off a skill set that could make him the first quarterback selected in the 2022 NFL draft.
Willis put his versatility and playmaking ability on full display Saturday in Mobile, making defender miss in the pocket and taking off for big gains when the defense failed to contain him.
While he didnât get too many chances to show off the rocket launcher attached to his right shoulder, Willis did that plenty throughout the week, including a Wednesday practice that was soaked by the elements.
Itâs still anybodyâs guess who will be the first quarterback off the board when April rolls around, but Willis is doing everything he can to make sure heâs that guy.
