Married At First Sight‘s (MAFS) David Momoh has chucked in his two cents on Alissa Fay‘s edit, admitting that his reality TV wife’s personality was “dimmed for most of the experiment”.
As we head into the final weeks of MAFS, some viewers have admitted that they’ve been left gobsmacked over the demise of David and Alissa’s relationship.
To give you a quick recap, David and Alissa were tipped to be one of the strongest couples of 2026… up until Homestays Week.

Before Homestays Week — which left Alissa feeling confused about her future with her reality TV hubby — David and Alissa seemed to be going from strength to strength, especially since Alissa was dragged into the centre of every single scandal this season.
But after Homestays Week, a bitter Final Commitment Ceremony where David said he struggled to open up emotionally, and a disastrous Final Test, the pair seemingly called it quits ahead of the Final Dinner Party and Final Vows.
While we only get to see a snippet of the participants and their relationships, some fans have argued that Alissa had copped a bad edit or that she has done a complete “180” ahead of the big finale.

As fans continue to speculate about Alissa’s edit, and whether it’s legit or not, David admitted that her personality had actually been “dimmed most of the experiment” due to the bullying she experienced earlier on from her fellow brides.
“All I’ll say is when the bullying died down, I feel like she was probably more able to look at our relationship and express herself,” David told PEDESTRIAN.TV.
Regarding their on-screen relationship, David responded to folks asking why he didn’t speak up when Alissa was talking over him, admitting that he “didn’t think it was an issue” at the time.
“I was like, that’s Alissa. She wants to take the forefront of talking,” David said.
“I’m a guy. I see myself as intimidating. I’m not gonna have a word battle with a woman. I don’t want to intimidate her, so I’ll let her do all the talking.”

But when it comes to the show’s portrayal of himself, David expressed that he was disappointed that a lot of his personality was edited out.
“Half of my personality was taken out of the show for some reason, so you’ll barely see all the jokes I made, or me talking to her, or us having fun,” David revealed.
“I feel like I’ve been muted on the show so far.”
As someone who’s had their eyes on the show since day dot, I honestly agree with David’s personality being taken out. I wished we got to see more of their marriage, but hey. Maybe we’ll see more in the next MAFS: After The Dinner Party episode and in the Reunion.
If not, I’m sure someone will go on IG Live once that final episode hits.
