Luis Palma has earned transfer interest from Sevilla in La Liga - with Celtic hoping for a summer tug of war for their player.
The Honduran internationalist, 26, has been on loan with Lech Poznan in the Polish Ekstraklasa where he won the league title with the club.
Palma hit 10 goals and provided six assists across 31 fixtures in the division and that form has alerted multiple clubs to his situation with Sevilla in particular paying close attention.
Manager Luis Garcia is said to be a fan of the playmaker but there could be a potential snag on any deal with Celtic's asking price said to be a touch high for the Spanish giants.
A report from Diario de Sevilla suggests Celtic have placed a £4million price on their player which would be too steep for Sevilla at this moment in time.
It's clear the Hoops want a permanent sale and not another loan for Palma, but the demands could price some clubs out.
Poznan have made it clear in recent times that they would be open to keeping hold of the star who has 10 goals and the same number of assists for Celtic in just 48 outings.
However, again, the number attached to his price is too much for the Polish champions to part with.
Spanish journalist Alvaro de la Rocha confirmed Sevilla's interest, saying: "Confirmed: Sevilla FC is closely monitoring Luis Palma’s situation. The Andalusian club is keeping a close eye on the situation between Celtic and Lech Poznań, who are negotiating for the Honduran player but have yet to reach an agreement.
"While there have been no formal contacts regarding his signing, it is clear that the player’s representatives are now aware of Sevilla’s interest.”
