Before LIV Golf Virginia, the most recent four events in the league had been won by either Jon Rahm or Bryson DeChambeau.
However, there was a new name at the top of the leaderboard following the Trump National Golf Club event, with Lucas Herbert claiming his maiden LIV Golf title.
That earned him prize money of $4m, but the Australian still has some way to go to catch Rahm at the top of the money list.
The Legion XIII captain, who placed T9 in Virginia, has prize money of more than $16m already, with DeChambeau a distant second with earnings of $11,035,000, boosted by another $1.5m for his finish of third in the latest tournament.
Herbert, meanwhile, is now up to third on the list, with season earnings of $5,960,750.
Thomas Detry is having a consistent season in his maiden LIV Golf campaign, and he's fourth with prize money of $5,672,500, while LIV Golf Adelaide champion Anthony Kim is fifth, helped by winning $650,000 for his T6 in Virginia. That takes his total earnings of $5,434,250.
LIV Golf Riyadh champion Elvis Smylie, David Puig, Josele Ballester, Thomas Pieters and Dean Burmester make up the remainder of the top 10.
In all, 43 players now have earnings of over $1m this season, with Anirban Lahiri the last on that list with $1,076,404.
