Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz are set to reunite in an upcoming video for Quadrant. The announcement has already sparked excitement across social media as fans await the return of the famous 'Carlando' dynamic.
The friendship between the British and Spanish drivers blossomed when they were team-mates at McLaren in 2019 and 2020. Fans affectionately branded the pair as 'Carlando' as they became known for their hilarious banter, competitive golf matches and infectious laughter during media duties.
Quadrant, which is an Esports, lifestyle and apparel brand founded by Norris in 2020, shared the teaser to fans on social media. "The collab of my dreams," one fan commented, while another wrote: "This video is going to be amazing, I missed Carlando content so much. Thanks Quadrant."
Sainz left the Woking outfit at the end of 2020 to join Ferrari. He later left the Maranello outfit after four seasons when he was replaced by seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton. Norris, on the other hand, has remained with McLaren.
Norris spoke about his friendship with Sainz when the Spaniard left the Woking outfit. "I didn't know Carlos at all before we became team-mates," he told F1.com at the time. "Of course I knew of him and so on, but we never spoke, I didn't know him that well at all, so I went in with a knowledge of very little and we became good mates both on track and away, and fierce competitors."
Sainz added: "This came super natural, since the first day I met Lando. I just got on well with him and we kind of had this situation, we were super competitive… but at the same time, I guess we have a lot of respect for what we do and we try and enjoy Formula 1.
"I want to say I get on well with all my team-mates. Obviously with Lando, it's special but I'm not expecting it that every time I meet a new team mate, it's going to be a new Lando."
