‘Keep the oil, anyone?’ Trump jabs allies as Iran blockade hits supplies

US President Donald Trump has mocked international allies over escalating fuel shortages, taunting nations to "keep the oil" as the Iran-Israel-US conflict enters its 36th day.

In a sarcastic outburst, posted to Truth Social on Saturday, Trump wrote, "Keep the oil, anyone?" targeting countries like the UK that have expressed alarm over soaring energy prices while refusing to participate in military strikes against Tehran.

The jab comes as the Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues to choke global supply lines, leaving the UK and other non-combatant nations grappling with severe petrol and gas deficits. Trump’s remarks appear designed to pressure these governments into joining "Operation Roaring Lion," the US-led military campaign currently striking Iranian infrastructure.

The US President's digital taunt follows a series of aggressive warnings issued from the White House.

He recently suggested that the world could either "go get oil from inflamed Iran" or purchase it directly from American reserves at a premium.

Trump also reiterated that the US could unilaterally seize Iranian oil fields and take control of the Strait of Hormuz by force. He previously vowed to strike Iranian targets "20 times harder" if the maritime disruptions do not cease immediately.
