Amazon Prime Day can be overwhelming to say the least. You don't have long to make the most of big discounts, but where should you start? I spend untold amounts of time shopping online, and although Amazon might not be your first port of call for fashion, I'm here to prove you just need to know where to look.
With a focus on curating a summer capsule wardrobe, you might be tempted by some of the big-name brands on offer, like Levi's, Birkenstock and Spanx. But Amazon is also the place to go for impressive designer lookalikes, plus the tools you need to ensure the clothes you already have look their best.
I'm a big one for investing in anti-trend pieces that will work hard in my wardrobe, so I've compiled a list of the 12 items you should be taking to the checkout. My Prime Day pro tips for shopping for fashion on Amazon? Filters will be your best friend...

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say I've worn my Archies flip-flops every single day since I tested them last year. Mine are the classic black version, but this coral colour is next on my list. They're not currently reduced, but while you're stocking up on Amazon essentials, these should be in your basket. Katie Holmes is a big fan, and so is Jennifer Aniston!

Finding the best jeans for your body type isn't an easy task, but my top recommendation will always be Levi's Ribcage jeans. You have to try them to believe quite how flattering they are, and once you're sold, you won't look back. This is the ideal blue wash, and one reviewer wrote: "I’ve been buying Levi’s jeans from Amazon and they’ve been the best prices I can find on the internet."

These made it onto our shortlist of both the best white trainers and the most comfortable trainers - that's how good they really are. woman&home's Fashion Channel Editor Rivkie Baum raved about them in her FitFlop Rally trainers review, and I think this is probably the lowest price I've seen them.

Fashion Director Paula Moore recommended these designer lookalikes to me, and I haven't stopped thinking about them ever since. The gold detailing at the ends of the arms is almost like little earrings - talk about getting more for your money!

Now I know a lot of people snap up the Sinophant leggings on Amazon Prime Day, and for just under £10, I can't blame you. However, these Spanx seamless leggings will really last. I wear them for everything from running errands to practising yoga, and they make you feel sculpted without the intensity of Spanx's shapewear.

woman&home's Fashion Writer Molly Smith has this bag and loves it. She calls it "the ultimate accessory" It's a great option if you've been eyeing up the DeMellier New York tote that has been spotted on the arms of countless celebrities.

Amazon is a great place to buy jewellery, and these gold and pearl huggie earrings have particularly caught my attention this week. There are also brands like Pandora and Swarovski on Amazon, so get shopping!

Hair spray, of course does what it says on the tin, but did you know it's also really useful in other ways? I got pen on a leather handbag last week, but a quick spray lifted it right off. It's also great hack to get rid of static so dresses and skirts don't cling to your legs, and you can use it on white clothes to prevent make-up and fake tan stains.

This fabric shaver completely revolutionised my wardrobe when I bought it, and I've been recommending it to woman&home readers ever since. It gently removes pilling from knitwear, coats and any fabric where bobbles build up. It's gentle on cashmere, so if you're packing away your winter wardrobe, be sure to debobble your knitwear first. It's also surprisingly satisfying to do!

Speaking of storing your winter knits, Homes Ecommerce Editor Laura Honey recommended these to me. She said: "After years of trying everything from cedar balls to wardrobe sprays, these hangers are the only solution that has consistently worked for me. They're incredibly low maintenance: I hang them alongside my clothes and leave them in place. Each hanger lasts for around three to six months, with a colour indicator that lets you know when it's time for a replacement. Best of all, the fragrance is subtle enough that it doesn't leave my clothes smelling strongly scented."

Another tool that transformed the way I wear my clothes, if you're going to a wedding abroad, this is a non-negotiable. Crinkled clothes can really ruin your look, and this easy-to-use bit of kit is quicker than ironing and kinder to delicate pieces. I've had this for a few years now, and it's never let me down.

woman&home's Beauty Channel Editor Fiona McKim shares her secret to doubling your wardrobe storage: "I never thought I’d get excited by a coat hanger. But, after treating myself to a couple of packs of ultra-slim, pink flocked numbers during my recent bedroom renovation, I realised something absolutely thrilling - I can now fit about twice as many clothes in my wardrobe! The grippy material stops my shirts and dresses from slipping off their hangers and getting forgotten about for months at a time (which used to happen with embarrassing frequency), and seeing all my clothes lined up in lovely uniform rose-hued hangers is very aesthetically pleasing, too."
The shopping event runs until the end of the day on Friday, and it's exclusively for Prime members. There are some amazing bargains to make the most of - I've barely even scratched the surface with my list of must-haves!
You've probably already got a wish list of household items and tech, but don't make the mistake of forgetting fashion.
