Hundreds dressed as Charlie Chaplin attempt world record in Switzerland

The event took place at Chaplin's World museum in Corsier-sur-Vevey, near Lake Geneva, where the legendary filmmaker spent the final years of his life.

Participants donned black bowler hats, fake moustaches and canes as they celebrated the museum's 10th anniversary.

Aerial images showed the crowd forming the number 10 on the grounds of the Manoir de Ban, Chaplin's former home, to mark the milestone.

Many participants said Chaplin's films had left a lasting impact on their lives.

The celebration highlighted the enduring appeal of the silent film star, whose work continues to resonate across generations and cultures. Olivia Baliguet, head of communications at Chaplin's World, said visitors from around the world still come to discover Chaplin's cinematic universe.
