Huge Edinburgh Fringe programme to tackle artificial intelligence and the manosphere

  • The Edinburgh Festival Fringe programme has been unveiled, featuring 3,649 shows across 258 venues from 7 to 31 August.
  • The world's largest arts festival will host 53,884 performances, exploring contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence , the manosphere, cults and social class .
  • Organisers have noted a significant increase in international artists registering, highlighting the festival's global appeal.
  • The programme includes 935 Scottish productions and features unique venues like the refurbished Gilded Balloon Teviot, a “sauna theatre” and a “pianodrome”.
  • Tony Lankester, chief executive of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, emphasised the Fringe's continued relevance and importance to artists globally, “despite the economic and political headwinds the world is facing”.
