How to sell cars at an Auction in Forza Horizon 6 to earn credits

Much like in previous titles, collecting cars is in the spirit of Forza Horizon 6. Sometimes, you might end up with more cars than you need in your garage. In that case, you can get some credits back by selling unnecessary cars at the Auction House.

Here’s a quick breakdown of how to sell cars in Forza Horizon 6 using the Auction House.

The only way to sell cars in Forza Horizon 6 is through the player-driven Auction House. Much like real auctions, the Auction House allows you and other players to bid on cars or buy them out immediately for a set price.

Here’s how to start an auction and sell a car in Forza Horizon 6:

  1. Travel to the Festival Site or your house.
  2. In the Buy & Sell tab, select Auction House.
  3. Select Start Auction and choose a car to sell.

Set the Starting Price, Buyout Price, and Auction Length. The Starting Price is the minimum bid on the lot, determined by the car’s value. The Buyout Price is the amount a buyer must pay to skip the bidding and purchase the car immediately. However, the maximum Buyout Price is usually higher than the Autoshow price. Lastly, the length can range from one hour to 24 hours, and determines how long the lot will be active.

There are a few rules regarding which cars you can buy and sell at the Auction House. You can’t sell Barn Finds, Loyalty Reward cars, and Treasure Cars at the Auction House. For DLC cars, only players who own the DLC can buy them, so expect them to take longer to sell.

After selling the car, collect the credits in the My Auctions tab of the Auction House within 60 days. Any unclaimed credits will be lost. Keep in mind that a small sales fee (around 15 percent of the final price) will be deducted from the final price, so your earnings might be a little lower. If the car doesn’t sell, it returns to your garage, and you can relist it.
