Alec's Request is one of the several Greymane faction quests you can complete in Crimson Desert, and it involves catching a Leopard Perch. This is one of the more beginner-friendly tasks that can be unlocked pretty early in the game. While you'll ideally need a fishing rod for this task, you can also use your hands to catch the specific fish (in this case, it's the Leopard Perch).
Let's look at how to complete the request without much of a problem.

Once you have unlocked your Greymane camp after Chapter 3, you can begin this quest. To begin the quest, you need to speak with Alex near the forge. He will tell you about a mistake he made in not letting Ronnie cook/grill fish using the same forge. Now, he wants to set it right, and for that, you have to catch a Leopard Perch for him, which will then be turned into a grilled fish.
Thankfully, the location of the Perch will be marked. You'll ideally need a fishing pole to catch the fish. However, you can also attempt with your hand. You'll find Perches in the shallow water, but it's not guaranteed. If you're lucky, you could end up catching the fish in your first attempt.
Once you catch the fish, make sure to add it to your inventory. If you lose/sell the item, the quest will get stuck in a bug, and it will remain incomplete forever. Take the fish safely back to the camp and speak once again with Alec at the forge.
You'll then hand over the fish to him, which completes the quest. Not only do you get a few rewards for your efforts, but you also get +50 trust with the NPC.
