How to complete After School Anomaly Commission in Neverness to Everness (Persona 4 easter egg)

The After School Anomaly Commission is arguably one of the coolest side quests in Neverness to Everness. It’s set in dimly lit school interiors with a creepy atmosphere that you reach through a TV, an obvious nod to Persona 4‘s Midnight Channel.

Additionally, if you have watched Netflix’s hit Korean horror TV show, If Wishes Could Kill, this anomaly commission in NTE is even more fascinating to undertake.

To begin, head to Mr. Brown’s Electronic Store on White Parrot Street. It’s slightly west of the Coastal Highway Z42 in Bridge Crossings. From Mr. Brown’s store, head towards the alley behind it, and turn left.

You’ll find a bunch of old TVs lying dormant on a shelf. Approach them, and you will be transported to the anomaly’s location.

Once you’re inside the school, take the stairs and go through the first door on the left, past the boy’s silhouette, to reach the classroom. All the other rooms in the lobby are locked, and you need to find a key that opens them.

In this classroom, you can find a few notes to read, but the most important one is sitting on the table at the center of the room, next to all the green boards. It contains a hint for the key’s location.

To find the classroom key, head back through the door you came from and turn left. Run to the far end of the lobby, and look for two pots on the left. One of them contains the ‘Shiny little key.’ Take the key and head back to the classroom.

You may notice that the shadow’s position has changed, and you might catch one of them (or both) staring in your direction. It’s because they are following you when you’re not looking.

If you have played Silent Hill f or the more recently released indie horror title, Project Songbird, you already know how to deal with these shadows -don’t turn your back on them for long.

Once you’re in the classroom, use the key on the door to the far end of the room to unlock the lobby on the other side and reach the second floor.  The rules are the same here. You need to look for another shining key to unlock the staff room door.

However, unlike the previous floor, you can find the hint for the key’s location in the lobby. You can find it on top of a shelf. It suggests that someone took the staff room key. On this floor, there’s only one shadow you can find.

The trick is to turn your back on it, so that it starts running towards you. As soon as it does that, turn around, and you will catch it in a running position. Take the Shiny little key from its pocket and enter the staff room.

Once you’re in the faculty office, head to the other side and find a room with a TV. Interact with it and quickly press the power button on the right. If you choose anything else or wait too long, you will be transported back to the entrance.

And that’s pretty much it! Shutting down the TV will transport you back to Hethereau and complete the anomaly. As for the rewards, you will get:

  • 10,000 Fons
  • 5,000 Beetle Coins
  • 200 Hunter EXP
  • 30 Annulith
  • 20 U-00NE
  • 4 Anomaly Material Selection Box

That sums up our guide on the After School Anomaly Commission in Neverness to Everness. This isn’t the only Persona reference in NTE. You can listen to Persona 5‘s music in the game. Learn all about it here.
