How to change time and weather in Neverness to Everness

Neverness to Everness features a massive and gorgeous open world full of neon-soaked city streets, cherry-petal-covered train tracks, and lush green mountain passes. Its open world is as close as you get to living in a fully-fledged anime-style world.

To make things more immersive, NTE features a dynamic weather system with a day-night cycle. Time passes on its own, and the weather changes, but you can alter both to suit your liking.

You can change the time and weather in NTE from the Time System option on your phone. Here, you can manually change the weather to sunny, rainy, snowy, or choose the random option to surprise yourself. Likewise, you can fast-forward time up to 48 hours.

And that’s pretty much it! However, you’ll notice that the snow option is initially locked. To make it snow in Hetherau, you must complete a straightforward but lengthy side quest called ‘A Retrograde poem for you.’

What is A Retrograde poem for you quest in NTE about?

To begin, head to the ice cream shop on Kino Avenue of the Miguel District. It’s just across the road from the nearest Wertheimer Tower. Once here, talk to the ice cream shop’s owner, Felicita Gelato. Please note that if there’s an active crime in progress here, Felicita may not appear until you fast-travel back and forth from a different area.

After speaking to Felicita, you will be tasked with finding an alleged snowman, an anomaly who’s been helping people beat the summer heat and eating ice cream in exchange. The entirety of this quest is to help the snowman take pictures at various POIs in Hetherau. Once that’s done, it promises to make it snow.

What starts as an endearing, often goofy adventure soon turns into an emotional ride, with an ending reminiscent of a classic shoujo romance anime. We won’t spoil it for you, but keep a box of tissues on side, just in case.

As mentioned above, there are plenty of character interactions and dialogues to witness in this quest. You can skip it, but you will be left with nothing but mundane drives from one place to another. Completing this side quest will unlock the option to make it snow in the summer, which makes the already breathtakingly beautiful sights of Hethearu even prettier, so the grind is worth it.
